A perfect place for a holiday. There is something for everyone on and off site, from toddlers to grandparents. Revel market-fantastic, St Felix - a delight, Carcassonne - surprisingly good value meals for such a popular spot. The countryside is fantastic with gentle pastoral scenes here and the Pyrenees only an hour or so away. Caves at Niaux fantastic if you enjoy cave paintings. Sunsets brilliant. The gites are superb (our family spread across Fitou and Minervois) with so many homely and thoughtful touches. Ruth & Fergus are very welcoming hosts. Bread delivery service excellent! Good luck to you all. We hope to see you in the future. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

For the second year in a row La Castagne has given us an ideal holiday. It was wonderful to find ourselves on the terrace (Fitou) each evening watching the sun set over dinner. Peace and tranquillity, such welcoming hospitality and all the comforts of home are what we love about this place. We have so enjoyed our 2 weeks here; it’s been a wonderful holiday in a very beautiful and relaxing place. Minervois has been great and the facilities were perfect. So much thought and careful attention has gone into creating a wonderful place-thank you so much.

A fabulous 2 weeks in the best equipped gite (Corbieres) we have stayed in France. We chose La Castagne because of the onsite facilities and were not disappointed. We did expect to have to travel some distance but actually we found plenty to do in the nearby area and abandoned all plans to go down to the coast. The little extras, like the daily bread delivery, mean a lot and really distinguish this place above others. Ruth & Fergus have obviously thought very hard what their visitors would like and have delivered it.
