Walk or cycle [click to enlarge]Cycling: all types of terrain are accessible locally, from the challenge of the Montagne Noire, to the gentle towpaths along the Canal-du-Midi.
Water sports: there are two lakes within 20 minutes of Domaine La Castagne. Lac-de-St-Ferréol is set in 80 hectares of parkland near the Montagne Noire and has supervised swimming, sailing and pedalos in the summer months. Boating on the Canal-du-Midi [click to enlarge]Boating: take a half-day or a full-day trip along the Canal-du-Midi, which is a UNESCO world heritage site.

Tasty cheese & wine [click to enlarge]Wine tasting: try the well-known Languedoc-Roussillon wines, such as Corbières, Minervois, Fitou, Cabardès and Blanquette de Limoux. Most vineyards and local "caves" offer wine tastings all year round. Gastronomy: restaurants to suit all tastes - several with Michelin stars - can be found within 10 minutes of Domaine La Castagne.
